Chart notes

THOR'S CAUSE settled close to the back on the outside in the early going, had runners on both sides sharing the rear at the seven sixteenths pole, came with a sharp turn of foot three wide when roused for more at the quarter pole, posed the main opposition in the four path outside the leaders straightening out for the drive and showed good tenacity grinding away outside in the final furlong to just get up nearing the wire for the stretch running win. TIZ THE POWER was pushed along between runners going under the wire with one circuit to go getting clear up top on the rail when heading into the first of two turns, controlled the pace slackening the tempo while unchallenged down the back straight, moved well up top with little pressure being applied by his closest pursuers around the last turn, had the two path holding on in mid-stretch, kept finding a little bit more in the late going but it was not enough just missing fending off the winner outside in the final few strides. SCUDERIA sat isolated in midfield on the first bend, had the inside position in the third flight with the field bunching up under a slowing pace at the half, lacked room to lengthen his stride on the fence being part of the rear trio with five sixteenths to go, shifted to the two path looking for running room at the top of the lane, moved to the rail darting up the opening at the furlong pole and closed in belatedly to be a clear but non threating third. CHANCHITO had a good spot in tandem with an outside foe keeping a close eye on the frontrunner, was scrubbed along at the five sixteenths pole chasing the leader in vain through the final bend, hugged the rail in the mix at the top of the stretch but flattened out inside of runners in the final eighth of a mile just saving being a fringe player by a whisker inside at the wire. LONNY'S GAMBLE was forwardly placed paired up with an inside rival tracking the pacesetter, was urged for more to go after the leader at the quarter pole making little headway, shifted to the three path still in with a chance between runners for a piece of the prize in upper stretch but faded in the final furlong just missing the nod outside for a minor share at the finish line. STRATOSPHERIC was allowed to find her stride at the tail end around the initial bend, moved outside through the backstretch narrowing the margin three deep at the half, made a brief spurt around foes three wide at the three eighths pole, swung out widest in the five path turning for home but came up empty outside by the furlong marker.
