Chart notes
MUNNINGS EXPRESS stalked the dueling leaders three wide in the early stages, was coaxed along through the turn to raise a three wide bid at the quarter-pole, drove clear under left handed urging as well as held off a late rally inside the final sixteenth. VENETTA settled off the pace along the inside, closed some ground under no encouragement through the turn, launched a three wide bid to split runners at the quarter and take aim at the leader, clawed away at the margin but was held at bay. QUEENS CAT dueled for command along the inside with CELTIC DAWN, shook that rival off nearing the quarter while meeting a bid from MUNNINGS EXPRESS at the same time and gave way, shifted out three wide for the final furlong and flattened out. KAY CUP opted to be the early trailer, continued three wide through the turn, angled out five wide turning for home only to make minor gains. SUNDAY GIRL raced not too far behind the dueling leaders two wide, began asking around the three-eighths pole before shifting our four wide at the quarter-pole, lacked the response necessary to improve down the lane. CELTIC DAWN dueled for command two wide with QUEENS CAT in the early stages, came under a heavy hand ride nearing the five-sixteenths pole, lacked a response to that urging and retreated before being eased across.
