Chart notes
VALTELLINA was rated inside of a foe then between horses from before the seven-eighths pole, came under some urging while in the two to four path on the turn, stalked the leaders passing the five-sixteenths pole, chased outside while put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop at the furlong marker, gained to make a bid outside the sixteenth-pole and got up under strong urging to narrowly prevail. BERNIETAKESCHARGE was restless in the gate, went to the front then showed the way on the inside of GRAZIE, vied inside to the two path on the turn, shook clear when asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, was challenged by the winner outside the sixteenth-pole, led into the final sixteenth but was caught while far clear for the place. BOXED WINE was hustled from the gate then well placed just off the pace, passed the five-eighths pole under urging, chased inside for most of the turn, shifted to the three then four path late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and weakened while able to get the show. GRAZIE was fractious in the gate, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the two path while asked on the turn, dropped back late on that bend and came up empty. RACING COLORS stalked the pace on the outside, dropped back late on the backstretch, was urged along while going from the three path to the inside on the turn and failed to respond.
