Chart notes
SAUCIER dueled inside MI FLECHA for early command, carried a short lead through the turn, inched clear outside the eighth pole and held safely over RABID RESPONSE in the final sixteenth. RABID RESPONSE broke well then chased the top pair from between rivals, moved over to the rail on the turn, put in a bid from the fence in upper stretch but lacked the needed late punch. MI FLECHA dueled from outside up the backstretch, kept the pressure on SAUCIER through the turn, chased after that rival into the final furlong and flattened out. SLICE tracked three deep, ridden along in the three path on the turn and weakened. WOLF HILL stumbled leaving the gate, chased after the dueling leaders inside a pair of rivals, lost ground around the bend, went two wide into the stretch and weakened.
