Chart notes
BUCYK rated kindly on the rail in mid-division, skimmed the fence measuring the lead duo around the oval, shifted to the three path but could not find a seam at the top of the lane, angled in getting a clear run in the two-path coming up to the furlong marker, battled with a stubbornly inside rival in the late stages and drew away getting the better of that challenger in the final seventy yards. B THE KING was bumped by the inside foe on the break then was allowed to settle into stride at the rear in the early stages, remained at the tail end inside on hold with the field running in pairs through the turn, scraped paint making a sharp rally at the top of the stretch, tried to dart past in a tight seam at the furlong pole but could not quicken with the outside winner in the final seventy yards. BACK RIVER had a narrow lead inside down the backstretch, dueled on the rail throughout the turn with a pesky rival that would not go away, drifted out surrendered the front end to the two inside rivals closing in at the furlong pole and found something more in the late stages saving the show award inside a couple of foes at the wire. TIME ZAPPER prompted the issue on the outside two others down the backstretch, chased the contesting pair three wide around the ovals, made a brief bid up top four wide outside the lead pair with a quarter mile to run, shifted to the five path still in the mix in upper stretch, could not go on with the lead twosome in the final furlong, dueling just for the show award between horses in the last sixteenth of a mile but had to settle on the fringes in end. TWENTYTWO SOLES broke inwards on the start, was nudged along trying to hold position with runners on both sides in midfield at the half, shared the rear outside being ridden for more going in the wrong direction at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the four-path seeing the field straightening out for the stretch run, moved out to the six path off runners at the furlong marker and managed to pass a tiring foe in the late running. BANKINGONAMIRACLE vied between horses down the back straightaway, moved in throwing it down outside the pacesetter at the half, continued to go eye to eye two wide around the bend, angled to the three-path giving way up top in upper stretch and ran out of steam tiring between runners in the final furlong.
