Chart notes
ELGIN PARK co-trailed on the inside finding his stride at the half, began to reach for more ground splitting foes at the three eights pole, shifted out to the four path with a full head of steam in upper stretch and chipped away at the game frontrunner down the entire lane outside and got up in the shadow of the wire getting the nod for the late running win. TEMPLE HALL emerged from the group to be loose on the lead by the half, was nudged along for more when having company outside in midturn, spurted away once again when urged in two wide turning for home, stayed on the wrong lead holding up top gamely on the fence with a furlong to go but was just caught at the finish line being denied for the win. WORRY LESS settled near the rear on the inside with a half mile to run, was on hold taking the shortest way around the turn sitting in midfield, hugged the rail taking the corner and closed in belatedly inside rivals to be a clear but non threatening third. INTERIM ANALYSIS settled between horses in mid-division with four furlongs still to run, moved in two wide to force the pace outside at the midpoint through the turn, drifted out five wide still in the mix up front at the head of the lane and finished up evenly coning back on in the final seventy yards for a minor placing. BIG BOLD AND FIRST was hustled between horses leaving the gate, had to be checked in tight quarters at the nine sixteenths marker losing all momentum dropping away to be a joint last on the outside by the half with the eventual winner, lagged behind the group around the bend, shifted to the two-path catching an outside foe at the top of the stretch and showed a little interest on the fence when surging late gaining a position right at the finish line inside. FRAC RIGHT dueled in the early going, chased the unopposed leader at the half, tracked the engaged pair at the five sixteenths pole, moved in making a brief bid outside for the lead three wide in upper stretch but could not find more in the final furlong and wilted with runners on either side at the sixteenth pole. GOOD TO BE LUCKY was away alertly in the beginning, dropped back outside runners along the backstretch having only a couple rivals beaten heading into the turn, travelled three wide around the oval but was going in the wrong direction by the quarter pole, swung out to the five past being relegated to last straightening out for the drive and could not factor in the late going.
