Chart notes
HEAVEN STREET was sharp leaving the gate, showed the way in hand until being encroached upon by FOR SOME REASON midway around the far turn, began asking at the quarter and was kept on task down the lane to secure his victory. I SEE YOU LOOKIN was pinched back at the start, ran up the backstretch off the pace in the two path, ranged up and claimed the inside going into the far turn, coaxed along through the far turn before entering a drive at the top of the lane, ducked out slightly in response to the rider's left handed urging inside the final furlong and was ultimately held at bay by the winner. FOR SOME REASON gave chase three wide up the backstretch, began nudging along through the turn to close some distance, was prominent entering the stretch but was quickly repelled. STRAWBERRY TREAT was four wide up the backstretch, settled back to trail briefly entering the turn, came under a heavy ride at the three-eighths and began progressing between runners, ran on down the stretch but was unable to make any more improvements. JACE IS NO JOKE was rated four wide, never posed a threat. GOODIE GOOMER settled off the pace along the inside, trailed nearing the quarter-pole before being asked by the rider, finally switched leads inside the eighth-pole to pass one runner. ARTIST MARK trailed five wide in the early stages, ranged up along the outside of the turn but lacked any late kick.
