Chart notes

NEW RENAISSANCE assumed command on the rail under a tight hold leaving the chute, rolled along unopposed through the turn still well in hand, opened up at will when roused for more in mid-stretch and cruised on in for the dominant front running score. DIXIE DOLL had a good spot tucked in on the rail behind the engaged duo in the beginning, saved all the ground inside two others tracking the loose leader around the bend, moved out to the three path posing the only threat to the winner straightening out for the drive, was no match by the furlong pole but still ran on honourably to comfortably best the rest for the runners up placing. HOPE SHE FIRES had a poor beginning breaking a step slowly then getting brushed by the inside runner at the start to settle near the rear in the early going, was a joint last outside another with seven sixteenths to go, start to range up through the turn going three to four wide circling rivals at the quarter pole, continued a wide journey swinging out to the six path for the stretch drive and finishing up willingly being a clear third with the field quite spread out down the lane. BLACK GODDESS pressed the issue on the outside leaving the chute, settled between runners chasing the winner down the backside as well as throughout the turn, drifted out getting weary four wide turning for home and faded by the furlong marker but still held position to settle on the fringes in the end. TAKE CHANCES was unhurried in the beginning at the rear inside, narrowed the margin co-trailing on the rail heading onto the turn, travelled two wide unable to make any progress at the tail end through the bend and had no finish to give on the fence in the final furlong. YA NO settled in midfield three deep through the backside, travelled three wide outside two others tracking the winner around the oval, angled to the five path emptying out between runners in upper stretch and cantered on home through the last eighth of a mile.
