Chart notes
FIRST TO ENGAGE moved in while showing speed, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader, turned up the pressure in the three path on the turn, took the lead at the five-sixteenths pole, was roused into upper stretch, swapped back to his inside lead while moving clear outside the furlong marker, switched back to the proper lead outside the sixteenth-pole and proved much the best under strong urging. SUPREME VERDICT brushed with a rival at the start then was hustled, moved in while showing speed then set the pace, vied two path to the inside while asked on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner at the five-sixteenths pole, battled inside of two opponents under a drive in upper stretch and narrowly earned the place while no match for the winner. CALL ATTENDANT broke in and brushed with HUNDREDS, moved in early then settled off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, made a bid between horses in upper stretch, lost touch with the winner near the furlong marker and also proved no match then just missed the place but was well clear for the show. BUBBLE MARKET raced well back in the field, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, came out to the five path into the stretch and improved for the show. LIKE A ROCK brushed with SUPREME VERDICT at the start, was urged along off the pace, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, rounded the turn in the three then four path, came into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. RUFUS THE RED was hustled from the gate then taken in hand and rated just off the pace on the inside, saved ground on the turn, was asked late on that bend and came up empty. HUNDREDS was brushed at the start, chased the pace, traveled around the turn in the four path and capitulated. BELLISSIMO D'ORO was hustled from the gate, dropped back early while a foe crossed in front, saved ground on the turn, came off the rail late on that bend and failed to threaten.
