Chart notes
SOGNO DI VINO unhurried in the early going from inside, picked up stride two then three wide on the far turn, tipped out into the lane, reeled in the leader and edged the runner-up in the final strides. JIMMY BLUE JEANS stalked in the two path, was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, challenged the leader from outside at the three-eighths pole, cleared inner rival outside the quarter pole, showed the way clear into the last sixteenth and got run down by the winner. CARDIFF CRACK lacked early speed and tucked inside at the back, crept closer in the middle stages, went three wide around the far turn, angled out for a clear run in the stretch, put in a mild late bid and earned third. UNPRETENTIOUS settled outside a rival, picked up stride three then two wide gaining on the far turn, chased within striking distance at the eighth pole but finished evenly late. MISS JO'S CURLIN came away a bit awkwardly while bumping with inner rival, went up to take the lead in the two path, controlled the pace up the backstretch, took pressure at the three-eighths pole, lost command then yielded to the new leader approaching the quarter pole, then weakened in the stretch run. GEEZER pulled in the two path around the first turn, chased between then found the rail on the far turn and could not rally. CULLEN J bumped with MISS JO'S CURLIN at the start, showed early foot then took a stalking position on the inside, lost ground through the far turn, angled out in the drive and weakened. TYPHOON TOMMY pulled along the inside around the first turn, raced off the pace up the backstretch, dropped to last on the far turn and came up empty in the lane.
