Chart notes

HIGH BEAM broke inwards on the start, settled in mid-division having the three path between foes with the field quite clustered at the half, made a three to four wide move gliding around rivals with ease through the turn, angled out to the five path still steadily gaining outside the leaders by the furlong pole, took control under mild urging with a sixteenth left to run and was pulling away smartly for the win when crossing the finish line. FRIENDLY was away alertly on the break, dropped back outside runners along the backside to be three deep near the rear at the half mile pole, was sharply steadied to the outside leaving the seven sixteenths pole, started to fight back getting into gear once again four wide in midturn, determinedly kept finding more in the six path in the stretch run and finished up a solid secondly best considering the circumstances. SANHEDRIN broke to the inside on the start, settled in midfield just off the fence along the backside, took the shortest way around the turn keeping pace waiting for a seam throughout the running on the bend, shifted to the three path still looking for a lane at the top of the stretch, split runners quickly getting a clear path four wide at the sixteenth pole and ran on smartly in the late going to be a clear third in the end. GRAN GHOST hopped then was pinched between runners on the break spotting the field by many entering the backstretch, caught up to the group inside by the three furlong marker, shifted out four wide at the quarter pole making a rally and while seven wide turning for home was full of run never giving in down the lane and kept on coming on outside to close in right at the wire for a minor placing. ASHUKA broke out on the start, travelled between foes in the two path watching the couple arguing up top at the half, continued two wide on the turn regressing slightly with rivals on both sides at the quarter pole, angled to the five path in upper stretch and was one of many who had late energy when finally clear with seventy yards to go just losing the duel for a minor award at the finish line. WHISKYTANGODISCO broke out but still left the gate with the pack at the start, then had to be checked at the three quarters pole between runners leaving the chute, made up ground narrowing the margin on the rail at the half, was on hold getting shuffled behind horses losing momentum at the three eighths marker, had the two path lacking proper running room in the stretch drive but when finally getting clear late burst between horses sharply in the final seventy yards. WOODGLEN COURT was brushed by the outside runner getting pushed in as well at the break, improved between horses down the backside to sit three deep now outside rivals in the second flight with a half mile remaining watching the engaged duo, moved in three wide on the turn coming up to the embattled pair at the quarter marker, angled out to the four path in with a chance for a piece of the prize taking the corner but had little left late and flattened out with a sixteen still to run. PRIME RATE was hustled clearing away from the pack leading on the rail into the backstretch, maintained a narrow advantage having company outside at the half, battled head to head on the rail around the oval, had the two path just holding on with runners bearing down outside in upper stretch and could not find more late faltering on the rail into the last sixteenth of a mile. LAKE NASSER tracked the frontrunner outside in the beginning, forced the pace on the inside leader four furlongs from home, dueled outside on the front end throughout the turn,, shifted to the three path still in the thick of things between horses at the top of the lane but ran out of steam folding in the two path in deep stretch. BACK STREET DRIVER was away slowly but recovered quickly to track the leader at the five eighths pole, was hard held on the heels briefly drafting behind the contesting twosome at the half, waited inside another off the lead pair around the bend, skimmed the fence in the mix turning for home but had no running room stuck behind the tiring early leader in the final eighth of a mile and could not extend his stride in the late going. TWENTY OVAS was brushed between foes on the break, settled close to the back with rivals on either side down the backstretch straight, had to be checked leaving the seven sixteenths pole avoiding a troubled runner to be in last midway around the turn, angled out in the six path for the drive but could not factor in the stretch running.
