Chart notes
MAJAZ (GB) took command right from the onset, controlled the pace along the backside stacking up the pack at the half mile pole, rolled along opening up again through the far turn, was coaxed for more switching leads and gears coming to the furlong marker moving sharply up top and came home with ease proving much the best with the frontrunning score. GOLDLEAF had a good set-up drafting behind the frontrunner throughout, rallied on the fence trying to make a bid on the winner at the quarter pole, angled to the three path posing the only threat in upper stretch, ran on valiantly to the very end unable to get to the winner and was just second best on this day. FAITH UNDERSTOOD had the fence situated near the rear in the early going, made little movement just off the rail along the backside, started to reach for more ground coming with a rail rally at the quarter marker, shifted to the three path splitting foes with a late charge in the final furlong and finished up a solid third at the wire. GO OLIVIA tracked the pacesetter outside going three wide, moved in briefly outside forcing the issue for a moment midway down the backstretch, chased but could not make any headway between horses two wide on the last turn, was pushed out four wide at the top of the stretch and ran on evenly in the last eighth of a mile just lasting at the finish line for a minor share. TAP MY DESIRE lagged behind the field opting to outside three wide around the initial bend, closed the gap outside horses four deep with the group clustered together at the half, was roused for more three wide at the three eighths pole having little response,, angled to the fence at the top of the lane and had late interest inside foes almost getting up for a minor share at the wire. ARETHA had runners on each side sitting in mid-division, narrowed the margin improving position watching the top pair at the half outside, was driven on three wide around the last turn but could not quicken with the front three rivals with a quarter mile to run and wilted in the four path at the top of the lane. PHAROAH'S AFFAIR travelled three wide close to the back end on the first of two turns, inched up at the half in the three path, was asked for more outside another four wide on the far turn at the quarter pole having little to give and tired widest in the six path when turning for home. NOCHE DE DAMAS settled in midfield in the early stages on the fence, was shuffled back to be in last at the seven sixteenths pole, saved ground in the running around the far turn but could not keep up to the pack, and could not factor in the drive to the wire.
