Chart notes

ELECTION HERO four paths off the inside down the backstretch in closest aim of the leader, tucked to the two path into the turn and advanced on the front taking command just inside the three-eighths pole, came under coaxing nearing the five-sixteenths marker and then took the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat to the outside, repelled that challenger and held sway to the finish in game fashion. LIVE brushed the near side stall at the start and then bobbled awkwardly just after the break, raced four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch just off the pace before tucking three wide into the turn and advancing on the front, came under urging just inside three furlongs to run, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive just barely latching on the top one just outside the eighth pole, dug in under a drive and was rebuffed to the finish while well clear of the rest and along second best. SCONSET BLUFF five paths off the inside early on, tucked to the three path six furlongs out, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. HOLD'EM coaxed from the gate, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn under encouragement from three furlongs out, angled five wide for home and tired. CAPTIVATED chased along the inside, climbed a bit resenting the kickback when HORIZONTAL RAIN tucked in front with five and a half furlongs to go, came under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, tired and had the rider lost the handle on his crop from his left hand inside the final sixteenth. HORIZONTAL RAIN coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside, came under threat to the outside and yielded the front just inside the three-eighths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and folded in the drive.
