Chart notes
DARN GOOD DANCER raced up close to the outside of the leader in the two path, challenged that rival on the far turn, took over leaving the bend, put SALLY'S WISH away in upper stretch and held safely under left handed urging. PLATINUM GROOVE settled off the pace just off the rail, angled three wide around the far turn, tipped out slightly further into the drive, finished willingly down the lane to gain second but could not reach the winner. KITTY MAC sat off the pace along the rail, came under a ride on the far turn, chased two wide into the lane, angled back inside then steered out in the late stages and got up for third. CYCLONE CLAIRE stalked the pace from inside, moved to the two path midway around the far turn, chased within striking distance at the eighth pole but could not produce a bid. SALLY'S WISH established the front and moved inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, challenged by the winner on the far turn, lost command turning for home, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. ALLIED FLEET broke out, raced keenly in hand at the back while moving out then back in on the first turn, stayed on the fence and passed a rival at the quarter pole but failed to be a factor in the stretch run. TRAINING GOOD sat off the pace in the two path, trailed at the quarter pole and never got involved.
