Chart notes
ROSE LISA tracked just off the pace in the two- to three-path, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole to draw alongside the leaders near the top of the stretch, was on the wrong lead in upper stretch but switched over mid-stretch, got a head in front inside the sixteenth pole and just held on against a fast-closing challenger on the outside. LITTLE FINCH dropped to the rail before the clubhouse turn, tracked the pace in a pocket along the inside, waited for a clear path through the far turn, then tipped four-wide in upper stretch, found her best stride mid-stretch and surged late to just miss. PURPOSE stalked the pace two-wide, bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, took over the lead in upper stretch, and battled gamely but came up short in the final strides. STRACA tracked three to four wide, bid three-wide at the top of the stretch, but flattened out a bit late and finished off the board. WAYWARD QUEEN settled at the back, made a brief forward move late on the backstretch that lasted about a half-furlong, drifted very wide on the far turn and managed to pass only a tiring rival in the stretch. SIGNAL CHAT jumped out to the early lead under mild coaxing, dictated the pace under mild pressure from PURPOSE to the outside and led to the far turn, then gave way under pressure approaching the quarter pole and had nothing left for the stretch run.
