Chart notes
WHISKEY N ICE had a slim lead on the outside along the backside, continued up top while pestered by the inside rival throwing it down eye to eye through the turn, maintained the advantage in the two path at the top of the stretch, edged clear disposing of the early speed rival moving to the rail when leaving the furlong marker and stubbornly kept finding more inside late fending off the outside charge by the runner up in deep stretch for the gutsy win. GIRLS WEEKEND had the fence keeping a tabs on the contesting pair down the backside, began to reach for more ground being urged on at the quarter pole, shifted out to the three path looming the main opposition taking the corner and tried in earnest in the final furling but did not have enough to reel in the winner in the late stages. ROCKET RILEY was unhurried lagging being the group in the early stages, started to lengthen stride on the fence passing an outside foe at the three furlong pole, angled to the three path finding her best stride down the lane and closed in smartly in the final furlong winning the show honours while trying to get the place share outside at the wire. FAIRHOPECURLY was bumped by the outside runner at the start, advanced outside along the backstretch straight to track the lead twosome outside while four deep at the half, edged closer going three wide in the bend by the quarter pole, drifted out being widest in the six path in with a chance outside for a piece of the prize turning for home and under a vigorous ride finished up only evenly but held at the wire to be a fringe player at the end. SOUPERGIRL dueled inside the frontrunner down the backside, continued to argue up top on the rail throughout the turn, scraped paint still fighting inside in upper stretch but weakened shifting off the rail in the final eighth of a mile. SOBIECH broke inwards on the break having only one runner beaten down the backside, was relegated to last being passed by an inside foe at the three eighths pole and showed some late interest bursting between weary runners in the final furlong running. GENIUS OF LOVE settled in the two path sitting in mid-division with runners on either side down the backstretch, was in tight having to be reined back at the seven sixteenths marker, kept pace being ridden along around the oval but could not factor lacking a rally in the stretch running. QUIET MADDELENA was hustled leaving the gate getting the early advantage, relinquished the top spot to a couple of inside runners by the five eighths pole, chased the embattled pair two wide between horses through the turn making little gain, shifted to the five path entering the stretch but had little to offer faltering by the furlong marker.
