Chart notes
GORDY'S BOY brushed leaving the gate, raced in range off the inside, took the turn two then three wide, steered out in upper stretch, rallied and struck the front at the sixteenth pole and held safely over the runner-up. CATFISH CHARLIE brushed inner rival then got bumped on the other side at the start, was closest early outside the top pair, rallied widest in the lane but could not get to the winner. MISAWA dueled for command from outside, battled four wide into the lane, cleared briefly in midstretch and yielded in the final sixteenth. SILVER KID was off a bit slow, stumbled a bit and bumped inner rival, chased three then four wide around the turn and showed a mild response in the drive. STRAUS'S PLACE broke in, trailed along the inside through the turn, kept to task through the lane but never threatened. RICH WARRIOR dueled for the lead into and around the turn, fought back to midstretch and weakened.
