Chart notes
STARZAN saved ground stalking the pace, swung out three-wide nearing the quarter pole and finished strongly to be up in the final sixteenth to win going away. LIVE A GOOD LIFE saved ground setting the pace, responded when asked, could not resist the winner but held on gamely for the place. IRISH KNIGHT was unhurried early, swung out to come five-wide into the stretch and was making up ground late. TENACIOUS LION vied for the lead with Live a Good Life from along the outside into the stretch and weakened slightly late. BLESSED BROTHER was prominent early while racing two-wide, dropped back slightly on the turn and weakened slightly late. WESTERN RULE hopped in the air at the start, moved up three-wide on the turn but was unable to seriously threaten.
