Chart notes
POSITIVE PHIL rated a slim lead from the five eighths pole, pulled clear past the half, was hand urged into the far turn then pressured to widen further in the lane. ELVIRUS saved ground off the pace on the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and raced in the four path of the far turn, then dug in down the lane to take second later yards. SIR ROCKPORT saved ground on the first turn, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn then flattened the final sixteenth. JUNGLE WARRIOR stalked inside from the five eighths pole, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths and rounded the far turn about the three path, then flattened in the lane. NEVER COMPROMISE raced off the rail on the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn. CLASSY SOLUTION rounded the first turn in the three path and showed little response through the backstretch. UNCLE JEROME was never a factor.
