Chart notes
ALWAYS GALLANT saved ground while being unhurried, moved closer along the inside on the turn, angled out for room nearing the eighth pole and was up in the final sixteenth to win going away. TIA SUZI saved ground setting the pace, opened a clear lead nearing the eighth pole but was unable to resist the winner late. SHILSHOLE BAY broke in to bump PLEASANT IMPACT then prompted TIA SUZI from along the outside to the stretch and weakened slightly. PLEASANT IMPACT was bumped at the start by SHILSHOLE BAY then was allowed to settle while racing two-wide but lacked a rally.
