Chart notes
FREE SOUL dueled from the start on the rail for the lead, surrendered the lead briefly in mid-stretch and dug-in gamely to surge late and prevail in the final fifty yards. SCRIPT pressed the pace from the gate, battled with the winner in their own match race, took a brief lead sticking his nose in front in mid-stretch and was out-finished in the final strides in a good effort. CHIPOFFTHEOLDBLOCK tracked the leaders to the top of the lane and finished willingly as best of the rest while failing to threaten the top pair. MURRAY reserved off the pace to the quarter pole and mounted a mild stretch rally without impact. GET SET stalked the dueling pacesetters from striking position to the head of the stretch and weakened through the lane failing to have a closing response. UNION FLEET trailed most of the way and was never a threat. FUN NOTION showed brief speed to be in early contention and steadily faded to the rear of the field.
