Chart notes
AMERICAN WARRIOR bumped solidly and forced in at the break, was steadied behind traffic, settled, picked up his pace nearing the end of two furlongs, advanced along the rail through the turn, altered out upper stretch, began to gradually drift out as he gained the lead from between rivals inside the last eighth, continued to slowly drift out, was eased at the seventy-yard marker when his rider misjudged it for the finish line, was urged again when RHODIUMS PRIDE came beside him from outside near the wire and managed to hold on. RHODIUMS PRIDE lugged in shortly after the break, jostled briefly with MYSTIC POWER, was hustled up to race in the second flight from outside, moved clear for second while three wide on the bend, fanned out some for the stretch run, gradually angled out as he rallied outside AMERICAN WARRIOR the final furlong and came up short for the win. NATIONS DREAM lugged in some while in tight quarters after the first sixteenth to bump REDFIELD, progressed four wide on the turn, swung outside RHODIUMS PRIDE for the stretch run, took over third inside the last furlong, began to level off the last seventy yards but lasted for the show. GET THROUGH a step slow at the break, was soon well back, picked up his pace along the rail on the turn, continued his bid upper stretch, altered two wide for a clear path with a furlong to go, closed well but was too late. MISTER SHARPIE was bumped after the first sixteenth, raced in contention from inside, began to yield after a quarter mile, angled out leaving the bend, was five wide into the lane and passed between more tired ones the final eighth. REDFIELD in close quarters between rivals, was bumped and forced into MISTER SHARPIE after travelling the first sixteenth of a mile, retreated after two furlongs, was three wide taking the turn, angled out six wide for a clear path at the top of the stretch and showed a willingness to run late. MYSTIC POWER broke inward, jostled briefly with XPRESSIR then was squeezed hard between that one and RHODIUMS PRIDE, chased from outside, lost ground four wide through the turn, lost further ground moving out to the middle of the track at the top of the lane and also rallied belatedly the last furlong. BLUE NORTHER in the second flight between rivals on the backstretch, began to yield two wide before finishing a half mile, came three wide into the stretch and gave way upper stretch. XPRESSIR broke inward, bumping AMERICAN WARRIOR, was straightened, jostled with MYSTIC POWER shortly after that, shook free and moved clear with five furlongs to go, showed the way from inside but quickly faded the last eighth.
