GALLAND DE BESOS settled in the early stages, well placed while just off of the rail entering the turn, rallied inside of runners into the stretch and loomed at the furlong marker, took command into the final sixteenth and kept to task late. COASTAL KID hustled away from the start, went up to press the early pace then assumed command and showed the way to the half-mile marker, set a pressured pace into the turn, battled into the stretch and shook free nearing the furlong pole, all out past mid-stretch, was overtaken in the final sixteenth and held well late for second. HOT CHICKS ONLY tracked the early pace from inside of runners, chased into the turn and angled three to four wide at the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the stretch, stayed on well into the final sixteenth and got up late for third. SMUGGLER'S RUN showed speed away from the start, assumed early command then ceded to COASTAL KID and pressed the pace heading to the half-mile pole, disputed the pace three wide along the turn, battled into the stretch, could not find more into the final sixteenth and was out finished late for the minor awards. SATANTA unhurried away from the gate, trailed three wide nearing the quarter pole, bid between rivals into the stretch, made a mild late rally but needed more. EVERYDAYISSATURDAY broke alertly, took back off of the early pace and tracked from the outside, chased four to five wide along the turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and weakened late. REEF CITY chased the early pace from between runners, got shuffled back a bit nearing the turn, chased four to five wide nearing the quarter pole, stayed to the outside into the stretch and lacked a late rally. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
