Chart notes
BROOKYS GAL rated nicely off of the moderate early pace, saved ground into the turn and loomed at the quarter pole, vied for the lead into upper stretch, took command at the furlong marker and drove clear late. UNION COACH hustled to assume early command, set a moderate pace heading to the half-mile pole, dictated terms into the turn, set a pressured pace while off of the rail nearing the quarter marker, led into upper stretch, was overtaken at the furlong marker, could not match strides with the winner into the final sixteenth and held well for second in the late stages. OUTRAGEOUS forwardly placed leaving the start, tracked the early pace from the outside heading to the half-mile marker, gained ground into the turn and chased the pace four to five wide nearing the quarter pole, went five to six wide into the stretch and lost position at the furlong marker, mildly re-rallied into the final sixteenth and got up for third in the final strides, while narrowly missing for second. HARNEY LANE broke alertly and vied for the early lead, ceded to UNION COACH and stalked that runner through moderate fractions heading to the half-mile pole, advanced into the turn and pressed the pace three wide and between rivals nearing the quarter pole, chased four wide into the stretch, was outkicked at the furlong marker, could not find a late response into deep stretch and was outfinished for the minor awards. WARREN'S WILD RIDE bobbled at the start and broke a bit slowly, settled off of the moderate early pace while never far back, advanced into the turn and chased two to three wide and between rivals nearing the quarter pole, got caught in tight and was boxed in approaching the top of the stretch, bid between runners heading to the furlong grounds, could not sustain that run into the final sixteenth and flattened out late. OUTER SUNSET bobbled at the start and was off a bit slowly, lacked early speed and trailed to the half-mile marker, raced three to four wide heading to the quarter pole, swung six to seven wide into the stretch, could not muster the needed late response and finished evenly. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
