Chart notes
GRAZEN SUN showed good speed from the break, dueled briefly with DRIVER'S ED through the initial furlong, then assumed the lead heading into the turn, got a challenge from HAY JUAN to the inside and HANDSOME GARY to the outside but held both at bay through the stretch then edged away in the late stages. HANDSOME GARY was fractious in the gate then broke well but was kept behind the pacesetters and tracked two to three wide down the backstretch, moved to challenge GRAZEN SUN for the lead from the three furlong pole, came three wide into the stretch and finished willingly under steady handling but was unable to catch the winner. HAY JUAN off a step slow, raced close up on the inside while alternating leads, steadied slightly at the quarter pole then came into the stretch racing on the left lead and was out-kicked in the final sixteenth. MY BUCKET LIST was a bit slow to get going and lagged behind the field to the turn though never far back, was launched a three wide bid on the turn, came into the stretch on the left lead and flattened out mid-stretch. DRIVER'S ED was hustled to the lead, dueled briefly with GRAZEN SUN started to drop off the pace at the quarter pole and was outrun the rest of the way. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
