Chart notes
FED GRANT vied outside of TOP WOLF while in hand, took command of the race approaching the three furlong pole, opened up on the field and widened the margin in the stretch and won as much the best. CARDINAL TRICK tracked behind the pace battle to the turn, went two wide through the turn then swung out to the three path and in the clear for the stretch run, finished well under steady handling, no match for the winner but well clear of the next horse. AUTISM INCLUSION lacked speed and was allowed to settle near the rear of the field, was set down with about three furlongs to run, went four wide around the turn and into the stretch, kept on under steady handling and gained the third spot. TOP WOLF broke well and contested the early lead getting some pressure from CONEJO MALO on the inside and FED GRANT to the outside, could not go on when the latter took control of the race near the quarter pole and finished evenly the rest of the way. BIG DIFFERENCE was last away and very slow to get into stride, advanced into contention before the turn but finished one-paced in the late stages and never posed a threat. CONEJO MALO raced close up on the inside to put some pressure on TOP WOLF on the lead, came into the stretch still with a chance, tried to get to the outside for racing room but did not have a response when called upon. MISSING MAURICE raced close up to the half-mile marker then dropped back to last within a furlong and hand little to offer in the stretch. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
