Chart notes
J. B. BOOKS settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked three wide into the first turn, well placed while between rivals along the backstretch run, shifted to the rail at the three-eighths pole, loomed inside nearing the quarter pole and took command into upper stretch, battled NAFTIS into the lane, repelled the runner-up past mid-stretch and drew away under hand urging in the late stages. NAFTIS broke alertly, ceded the early lead to MEEKING and stalked the solid pace outside of that rival into the first turn, raced in the four path into the backstretch run, kept close attendance to the pacesetter nearing the half-mile marker, vied for the lead into the far turn and battled J. B. BOOKS into upper stretch, was repelled past mid-stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth and was a clear second best. HALO RANDO settled off of the early pace, raced two wide and between runners into the first turn, content to trail through the backstretch run while not far back, chased two wide into the far turn and was well placed at the quarter pole, could not match strides with the top two into the stretch and ran on to secure the show honors. MEEKING off a step slow leaving the start, was hustled to assume command in the early stages, set the pace into the first turn while in the three path, set a solid pace into the backstretch run, led into the far turn, came under pressure at the quarter pole, was overtaken into upper stretch and faded in the drive. KLINKERBRICK settled off of the early pace while not far back, saved ground into the first turn, chased the decent pace through the backstretch run, could not keep pace past the half-mile marker and lacked a response into the stretch. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
