Chart notes
BLURT floated out some into the first bend, shared the lead off the rail but inside MEDAL OF FACT, moved clear leaving the second turn and kept BOURBON DELIGHT at bay under steady handling. BOURBON DELIGHT broke outward, was soon well placed along the rail, angled out three wide at the top of the stretch to make his bid, rallied belatedly in the late going but was clearly second best. ARGYBARGY BUCK bumped from the rear at the start, chased behind MEDAL OF FACT through the early going, gained a striking position just off the inside on the second turn, fanned out some into the lane, moved clear for third inside the last furlong then could only just hold his position in the waning yards. MISTER CHARMING was bumped and forced into ARGYBARGY BUCK at the start, steadied, moved to the inside early on and only made up minor ground along the rail deep stretch. I'M YOUR VALENTINE chased while toward the outside, was three to five wide taking the second turn and showed a willingness to run inside the last furlong. MEDAL OF FACT broke outward, bumping MISTER CHARMING, vied for the lead outside BLURT for six furlongs then began to fade. IMPULSIVENESS was forced out at the break and checked behind rivals, soon far back, picked up his pace after a half mile, saved ground taking the second turn, gradually angled out through the lane and made up some ground without threatening. KEEN RESPONSE chased running widest, gradually angled out to stay clear of IMPULSIVENESS the final eighth and was steadied briefly when the latter compromised his path inside the last sixteenth.
