Chart notes
NO D'ORO hustled away from the start, assumed early command and set a moderate pace heading to the half-mile marker, was well handled into the turn and showed the way to the quarter pole while off of the rail, kicked to a clear lead into the stretch, was ridden out in the late stages and won as much the best. ADIOS NICANOR broke in at the start and bothered a neighboring rival, was a step slow to begin and settled off of the moderate early pace while not far back, chased two wide into the turn and lost ground at the quarter pole, swung to the four path into upper stretch, closed well in the final furlong and won the head nod for second on the wire. VERITAS AEQUITAS squeezed at the start, was off poorly and was unhurried in the early stages, saved ground into the turn, maintained an inside path into upper stretch then tipped to the two path while advancing at mid-stretch, finished well into the final sixteenth and just missed for second. BARRISTER PROOF stalked the moderate early pace from between runners, chased the pacesetter two wide and between rivals entering the turn, ran in pursuit into upper stretch, could not keep pace at the furlong marker and lacked a response in the late stages. LIGHT THE BEAM was a step slow leaving the start, settled off of the moderate early pace, guided three wide along the turn, swung five to six wide into upper stretch and offered a mild late rally. PINEAPPLE JUICE tracked the moderate early pace from the inside, well placed approaching the turn, chased the pacesetter while saving ground nearing the quarter pole, lacked a response into the stretch and gave way in the late stages. DANZING REBEL prominent away from the start, stalked the moderate early pace outside of NO D'ORO, chased the pacesetter three wide into the turn, could not keep pace into upper stretch and tired in the final furlong.
