Chart notes
LUCKY VICTOR prompted the pace for five-eighths, rallied on the turn to take control turning for home, drifted out under right hand urging from the five path to the ten path through the lane herding the runner-up and just held. BLUE NOMORE reserved well off the pace to the far turn, rallied steadily on the final bend to be prominent from six wide in upper stretch, continued on well through the lane to be gaining on the winner while being carried out the last sixteenth. MAMAS HOME COOKING tracked the leaders for three-wquarters and rallied up the fence in the lane to prevail for the show. ORFANO was releuctant to load and fractious in the gate, broke with the pack, raced-mid-pack to the far turn, gained position on the far turn and finished evenly. MAN'S CHOICE unhurried early to be near the rear of the main body of the field and showed some late interest with a mild stretch rally. LINO'S KID hustled to the lead, set a pressured pace and weakened in the final three-sixteenths. ONE STEP ASIDE broke a bit slow to be the distant trailer and passed tiring rivals in the lane. SMOOCHER went evenly. LIL RICKYS JEWEL was one-paced and not a factor. VECCHI was well palced racing three wide in contention for a half and steadily faded. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER-UP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RUN AGAINST THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED THE WINNER AND PLACED HIM SECOND.
