Chart notes
TIERNAN broke outwardly, stalked off the pace three to four wide, swung five deep turning for home, bid at the furlong marker, took command, held a rival under steady urging. AWESOME BEAT was in tight at the break, reserved toward the back near but off the rail, rallied through traffic in the stretch, just missed. BENNYS JETS pressed from inside early, switched out two to three deep up the backstretch, took over past the quarter pole coming into upper stretch with the lead and four deep, was overtaken by mid-stretch and outkicked. DOADSTER chased from inside, swung six to seven wide leaving the turn, was in striking range in upper stretch but evened out late. STRATUS was urged from the break, dropped back between runners three to four wide on the turn under continued urging, kept on late to improve. DEPUTY DADDY veered out badly at the start, was forced four to five wide on the turn, needed more. SHORT STORY LONG switched out heading up the backstretch, advanced outside foes five to six wide late on the turn, came out wider for the drive, evened out. CAPTIVATING NAME was forwardly-placed inside, faded in the stretch. LAST RIDE broke very awkwardly, was devoid of early speed racing far back early, came out in the stretch and passed a couple tired ones. TEMPLE HALL set the pace from outside with pressure from an inside rival, cleared that one and shifted in, came up empty. COME ON BIG LOU chased from outside racing just off the leaders, went four wide on the turn and steadily retreated.
