Chart notes
SUSIE CRU settled just off of the early pace and was well positioned into the first turn, tracked two to three wide and between rivals into the backstretch run, chased the leaders nearing the half-mile marker and raced two wide into the far turn, angled widest into upper stretch and was set down for the drive, loomed at the furlong marker and battled AFTER MY OWN HEART into the final sixteenth, wore down the stubborn runner-up in deep stretch and pushed past in the final strides for a determined win. AFTER MY OWN HEART close up to the early pace, tracked three to four wide and between runners into the first turn, stalked the moderate pace three wide into the backstretch run, vied for the lead nearing the three-eighths marker then chased UNION HARBOR into the second turn, overtook that rival past the quarter pole and led into upper stretch, was confronted by SUSIE CRU at the furlong marker, stubbornly battled that rival into the final sixteenth, was bested in deep stretch and was well clear of the rest for second. C HER BEAUTY settled just off of the early pace, went four to five wide into the first turn, tracked the modest pace while widest through the backstretch, chased three to four wide into the second turn, was outkicked in the stretch drive, stayed on into the final sixteenth and was clear in the end for third. UNION HARBOR sent leaving the start, was prominent approaching the first turn and contested the early pace from the inside, prompted the modest pace through the backstretch run, vied for the lead into the far turn and led to the quarter pole, battled into upper stretch, could not keep pace nearing the furlong marker and gave way. IRISH SONG LEADER tracked the moderate early pace while saving ground, was well placed into the backstretch run, saved all of the ground into the far turn and did not offer a late response. TIZTHEHARTOFDIXIE broke out and was away slowly, allowed to settle and trailed to the half-mile marker, was guided two to three wide into the far turn and did not threaten in the stretch drive. HANG ON away in good order, contested the moderate pace between runners, lost position into the far turn, lacked a response into the stretch and tired.
