Chart notes
ROUSING JEWEL was hustled for the lead and went unchallenged, held a length or more advantage to the top of the stretch, responded when set down and held clear to the wire. BERRY VALLEY showed good speed from the outside post and stalked three wide to the turn, tried to make a run from the three furlong pole, got close in mid-stretch but could not pass the determined winner. ANTHONYS CLEOPATRA was allowed to settle from the break then was pushed a bit to keep close to the leader, came under pressure near the five-sixteenths pole, was briefly passed by DRAW ME in deep stretch but came back on to grab the third spot near the wire. DRAW ME broke slower than the rest and dropped well behind the pace early, made a mild late rally, passed ANTHONYS CLEOPATRA in deep stretch but could not hold on when that rival came back on near the wire.
