Chart notes

CANAM GAL away in good order, stalked the moderate early pace outside of runners heading to the half-mile marker, well placed into the turn, roused four wide nearing the quarter marker, took command into upper stretch and was set down at the furlong marker, dug in while leading into the final sixteenth, kept foes at bay into deep stretch and held in a drive to prevail. THE GREAT HAYNES a step slow to begin, was sent in the early stages and disputed the early pace inside of TAKES A VILLAGE, contested the pace with that rival approaching the turn and took a narrow lead into the bend, was overtaken by CANAM GAL at the quarter marker, battled inside of that rival into upper stretch, was outfinished in the final sixteenth and held well for second. CLAY'S OPAL INDY hopped at the start and was off a bit slowly, settled off of the early pace while never far back, chased four to five wide into the turn and gained ground at the quarter pole, went widest into the stretch and lost ground at the furlong marker, re-rallied into the final sixteenth and missed for second, while holding for third at the finish. LA POPIS was forwardly placed away from the start, settled in the second flight and tracked between rivals heading to the half-mile marker, raced two to three wide and between foes into the turn, was caught in tight and was blocked behind runners approaching the quarter pole, found room into upper stretch, mounted a three wide bid at the furlong marker, was gaining in the final sixteenth and just missed for third. LITTLE LILIANA rated just off of the early pace, tracked inside of rivals heading to the half-mile marker, saved ground into the turn and advanced at the quarter pole, chased from the inside into upper stretch, needed more into the final furlong and was outkicked in deep stretch. TAKES A VILLAGE prominent away from the start, engaged with THE GREAT HAYNES and contested the moderate pace outside of that rival heading to the half-mile marker, prompted the pace between rivals into the turn, lost position into upper stretch, lacked a response into the final furlong and gave way.
