Chart notes
BOBBY'S GENIE showed good speed from the break and opened up a lead from the initial stages, widened through the turn the drew off in the stretch and won as the rider pleased. FLY SOUTH broke best but was not quick enough to outsprint BOBBY'S GENIE to the front, chased that rival through the turn and into the stretch, was passed by JULIET'S KITCHEN in upper stretch but battled on and came back on, passed that latter foe inside the sixteenth and gained 2nd. JULIET'S KITCHEN tracked three wide through the turn, rallied into second in upper stretch then weakened late and surrendered that place to FLY SOUTH while finishing a good distance ahead of the next horse. CASILLALATER came away from the gate awkwardly, chased inside of the trailing group, held the rail through the turn, ran on some down the lane but could not threaten the top three. PATSY MONTANA broke well but was unable to keep up with the early pace, raced between horses in the trailing group through the early stages, was being put in tight and brushed a few times with HARBOR DEAREST through the turn, ran on a bit in the stretch but was unable to threaten. HARBOR DEAREST was outrun from the break, raced three wide at the rear of the field, brushed with PATSY MONTANA a couple of times through the turn, passed one at the top of the stretch but otherwise was not a factor in the late stages. HARBOR'S ROSE pressed the pace to the outside of BOBBY'S GENIE to the turn, started to struggle to keep up after passing the three furlong marker, came under pressure before the quarter pole, stopped and faded to last in the stretch.
