Chart notes
FATHER TOM away in good order, was forwardly placed to begin and tracked the decent early pace from outside of rivals, chased four wide into the turn, bid at the quarter pole and vied for the lead into upper stretch, shook free approaching the furlong marker, drew away while kept to task late and was wrapped up in deep stretch for a convincing debut win. GOT SOUL settled just off of the decent early pace, tracked from the inside heading to the half-mile pole and was well placed approaching the turn, roused at the three-eighths, loomed nearing the quarter pole and vied for the lead into upper stretch, overtaken by FATHER TOM nearing the furlong grounds, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth and was a clear second. RAGAZZONE sent leaving the start, was forwardly placed in the early running and pressed the pace three deep nearing the half-mile marker, vied for the lead into the turn, chased three wide and between rivals into upper stretch, outkicked at the furlong marker, yielded to the top two past mid-stretch but stayed on late and held safely at the finish for third. GOIN' SOUTH took back leaving the start, settled off of the decent early pace while not far back, gained ground three to four wide into the turn, swung five wide into the stretch drive, could not sustain his run into the lane and passed tiring rivals in the late stages. P TWENTYTWO sent leaving the start, contested the early pace between rivals heading to the half-mile marker, vied for the lead into the turn and battled into upper stretch, lost ground at the furlong marker, could not keep pace into the final sixteenth and gave way. MAGILLIGAN hustled away from the start, vied for the early lead and pressed the pace heading to the half-mile marker, lost position approaching the turn and chased two wide along the bend, could not keep pace into upper stretch and faded in the stretch drive. SOUTHERN TORNADO broke slowly and was hard to place in the early stages, improved position two to three wide into the turn, lost ground into the stretch and did not offer a late response. CONTRARY GIG was squeezed leaving the start and was off slowly, settled off of the early pace, outrun into the turn, went three wide nearing the quarter marker, lacked a response in the stretch and did not factor.
