TOPPER'S CHIEFTESS allowed to settle in the early going while never far back, was guided two wide into the turn, got caught in tight and waited for racing room nearing the quarter marker, tipped three wide into upper stretch, rallied and vied for the lead nearing the furlong marker, took command past mid-stretch and drove clear in the final sixteenth. MINERAL RIGHTS broke alertly, was hustled to the early lead and dictated terms nearing the half-mile marker, set a moderate pace into the turn and showed the way to the quarter marker, was confronted into upper stretch by TOPPER'S CHIEFTESS, could not match strides with the winner past the furlong marker and held well late for second. YOUR ROYAL FLYNESS paused at the start and was away a bit slowly, allowed to settle in the early going, trailed into the turn, went four to five wide nearing the quarter marker, swung six wide for the stretch drive, closed willingly in the late stages and missed for second, while holding safely in the end for third. DIVINE PASSAGE rated just off of the early pace, tracked from the inside heading to the half-mile marker, saved ground into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, chased from the inside into upper stretch, ran in pursuit while within aim at the furlong marker and could not muster the needed late response. SPARKLE SWEETLY chased the moderate early pace from between runners, stalked the pace three wide into the turn and was well positioned at the quarter pole, lost ground into upper stretch and gave way in the final furlong. ABOVE THE FOLD chased the moderate early pace four deep and between runners, got shuffled back a bit into the turn and lost position while four wide nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace into the stretch and tired. LOCHMARA tracked the moderate pace while widest in the early stages, chased five wide into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, was outrun into the stretch and weakened late.
