ATOMIC DROP broke sharply and assumed early command, showed the way while off of the rail entering the first turn, was engaged by NORTH COUNTRY and contested the moderate pace inside of that rival into the backstretch run, met the bid of ENOS SLAUGHTER at the half-mile pole, dueled outside that rival nearing the quarter marker, battled while on even terms into upper stretch, took a narrow lead at the furlong grounds, repelled ENOS SLAUGHTER into the final sixteenth and drove clear in the late stages for a convincing win. ENOS SLAUGHTER settled off of the early pace and saved ground into the first turn, was well placed into the backstretch run, asked for run nearing the half-mile marker, vied for the lead at that station then dueled ATOMIC DROP into the far turn, battled that rival into upper stretch, fought gamely nearing the furlong marker, was turned away into the final sixteenth and was a clear second best. ITS THIEVERY well placed in the early going, settled off of the early pace and tracked two wide into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace from between rivals along the backstretch run, chased three to four wide into the second turn, lost ground at the quarter pole but stayed on into the stretch, finished evenly in the drive, could not impact the leading pair in deep stretch and was clear in the end for third. MOTHER'S PRAYER lunged at the start and was away slowly, spotted the field to begin and trailed into the first turn, saved ground into the backstretch run, improved position nearing the half-mile marker, saved all of the ground into the far turn, could not sustain his run into the stretch and passed tiring rivals in the late stages. NOLDE allowed to settle in the early stages, improved position nearing the half-mile pole, chased two wide into the far turn, lacked a response into the stretch and gave way in the final sixteenth. WINE AND WHISKY settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked the pace three wide into the first turn, lost ground along the backstretch run, saved ground into the second turn and did not factor in the stretch drive. SUPERMAZEL was forwardly placed away from the start, tracked the early pace four wide into the first turn, was well placed into the backstretch run and tracked outside of rivals nearing the half-mile marker, chased four to five wide into the far turn, could not keep pace approaching the quarter pole and gave way in the stretch drive.
