Chart notes
DUVAL STREET settled at the rear finding his stride down the backstretch, closed the gap three wide by the quarter pole, moved to the leader in the two path in upper stretch and grinded away at the sixteenth pole collaring the outside frontrunner and began to pull away in the final seventy yards. WORRY LESS cleared to the rail entering the backside setting a moderate wind aided pace for the initial quarter, dictated terms unopposed through the turn, was clinging onto the lead at the furlong marker and gave way grudgingly to the winner in the final seventy yards. KID GIZMO stalked outside ahead of the eventual winner, edged closer three wide around the turn, swung out widest in the six path for the stretch drive and rallied outside foes late to be a clear third at the finish line. FIRECRACKER FIONA was brushed outside at the start, prompted the pace outside down the backstretch, chased the frontrunner throughout the turn, was in the hunt four wide turning for home but could only finish up one paced in the final furlong garner a minor placing in the end. TWISTED ROMANCE exchanged brushes with the outside foe at the start, offered a mild run three wide in midturn to be in range five wide straightening out for home but failed to fire in the stretch running. MARDENE travelled on the rail in midfield, kept pace when nudged inside runners throughout the turn, had a chance on the rail at the top of the lane for a share but lacked a rally down the stretch.
