Chart notes
POSTURING travelled three deep keeping a close eye on the lead three down the backstretch, moved in still going three wide with five sixteenths from home, bid for the lead by the quarter pole, poked his head in front in upper stretch and drew away connivingly for the win in the late stages. IF YOU INSIST had a slim lead on the rail down the backside, continued up top by a narrow margin on the fence with two rivals outside hounding the pace around the bend, battled stubbornly just holding up front in upper stretch, could not match strides with the winner in the final furlong but did stay on well enough to hold for the second place share at the wire. PROUD RONIN had a good spot watching the lead trio down the back straight, waited patiently in the two path waiting for cue to move around the turn, shifted out four wide at the top of the lane and finished up willingly to close in late to capture the show money. TUTTI CONTENTI pressed the issue between foes early, still was in the thick of things with rivals on either side battling up front in midturn, could not go with the front two horses while three wide in upper stretch and evened out in the last furlong for a minor role in the end. MONDAY MORNING had a stalking role outside while in front of a couple of rivals along the backside, was under a ride three wide outside foes making little impact through the turn, angled out to the six path turning for home but had little to offer in the run to the wire. SPEEDEEMAN was away slowly to trail inside along the backside, made little headway seeing the field around the bend, angled to the seven path for the drive but could not factor in the stretch running. TUNECHI stumbled soon after the start to be ahead of only the other poor starter down the backside, took an awkward step at the five eighths pole, was eased in the backstretch and left via equine ambulance.
