Chart notes
DES DOIGTS hustled clear from outside, dueled inside JOURNEY D' ORO past the half-mile pole, fought head to head through the turn, shook free in upper stretch and held safely under hand urging. STAY ON THE FENCE brushed the gate, got bumped hard and lost his path at the start, trailed off the inside, angled in then back out on the turn, finished willingly down the lane and gained second while whittling the gap on the winner late. ALWAYS ON CAY stalked from inside, coaxed along while losing ground on the turn, asked right handed approaching the stretch and kept on for the show. LETSHAVEONEMORE broke a bit slow, tracked off the rail, went two to three wide around the bend and weakened. JOURNEY D' ORO bumped with outer rival then got forced into that rival again immediately after, went up to challenge from outside and took a slim advantage early, battled two then three wide around the turn, yielded to the winner at the top of the lane and weakened. BEER MONEY veered out and bumped JOURNEY D' ORO at the start, chased four wide into the turn, five wide into the lane and weakened.
