Chart notes
MR PUK away in good order, showed the way up the backstretch along the inside, continued to show the way through the turn, briefly got clear when straightened for home, enough left to narrowly hold off the runner up in gaining to the nod. LEMON DROP SHOT outrun early, moved out in the two path late in the turn when beginning to advance, continued a steady rally through the lane inside the winner, finished willingly to narrowly miss. RISK PROFILE last to leave, continued to lack speed, carried out five wide turning for home, managed a moderate rally down the middle of the strip to be along for the show, not a serious threat to the top two late. STAND PROUD prompted the pace while four wide into and through the turn, came up empty for the drive. PRINCIPE CARLO pressured the winner from the outside and between horses, faltered in the drive. CAPTAIN JACK made little impact while saving ground. STOMPING HOTROD forwardly placed three wide, got out to be four wide late in the turn, faded through the stretch.
