Chart notes
SUNSET GRAZEN broke best and led the field into the clubhouse turn, was allowed to set modest fractions while leading the field to the far turn, was taken on by LOLO LE PLUME at the quarter pole but fought back gamely, dueled that foe for the length of the stretch got a head in front late and prevailed. LOLO LE PLUME broke a beat slow and unhurried through the first turn while being rated, tracked three wide down the backstretch then advanced towards the lead on the far turn, pulled even with SUNSET GRAZEN at the quarter pole then battled the whole of the stretch and just missed. BIG SOIREE veered out at the break, got caught three wide going into the first turn, settled with the trio at the back of the pack to the half mile marker followed LOLO LE PLUME through the turn then tipped out to the five path for the stretch run, raced a little greenly in upper stretch, altered course to the two path in mid-stretch and gained third. BORDER CONTROL had good early speed and pulled the rider forward after the break, raced just behind SUNSET GRAZEN while under a snug hold, was not let loose until after passing the three furlong marker, came into the stretch with every chance but flattened out. DUTTON STREET GIRL was not rushed from the start and settled inside through the first turn, saved ground down the backstretch, lacked room on the far turn then angled five wide into the stretch, was set down but did not respond and lacked a rally. HELLO KID O KID O broke well and was forwardly placed two deep into the first turn, stalked SUNSET GRAZEN to the far turn came under a ride passing the five-sixteenths pole and had little to offer in the stretch.
