Chart notes
HAY HAY PAULA travelled on the rail watching the lead duo down the backside, edged closer improving on the fence around the bend, shifted out posing the main threat three wide straightening out for the drive, dueled down the lane in the three path and finally got the better of the persistent frontrunner outside in deep stretch. LOIS LEN took command from the start, was pressed outside along the backside, opened up disposing of the outside speed foe at the three furlong pole, travelled well uncontested up front through the turn, dug in determinedly when headed on both sides at the furlong marker, fought on gamely to the end, gave way to the winner outside late but did manage to best the rest for the runners up placing at the finish line. KAVALA trailed between foes in the beginning, saved ground closing the gap of the field smartly around the turn, skimmed the fence gathering momentum at the top of the lane, was in the thick of things inside on the rail up top at the eighth pole but was outkicked in deep stretch and settled for the show money at the wire. ASHBURY bobbled at the start to be ahead of one runner along the backside, stalked on the rail in the third grouping into the turn, mounted a rally shifting out three wide coming up to the quarter pole, was in the mix four wide at the top of the stretch but stalled with a furlong left to go to settle on the fringes in the end. BRAQUET travelled close to the back between runners, just commenced a run when steadied losing her path inside the five sixteenths pole, recovered to sit just behind the leaders in the three path in upper stretch but could not gain on any rivals late. RED ELEANOR tracked in the second flight in the two path outside, was hard ridden midway around the bend but could not maintain forward position, shifted out to the four path for the drive to the wire but could not get involved. SPIDER BELLE stalked three deep in the third flight, offered a brief run three wide with five sixteenths to go, was floated out seven wide when the field bunched up at the top of the lane and could not factor in the stretch running. PRINCESS ALESKA broke out on the start, prompted the pace outside along the backstretch, could not keep up with the leader by the three eighths pole, drifted out while retreating through the turn and emptied out when engulfed by runners six wide turning for home.
