Chart notes
SMILING AMY stalked from outside, chased alongside QUE BELLA LUNA on the turn before tipping out and taking aim five wide into the stretch, drew alongside STORMY GAL, dueled through the final furlong and dug in to inched ahead from the runner-up. STORMY GAL vied briefly before taking full control, led along the rail then in the two path on the turn, drifted into the lane, met the bid from SMILING AMY to the outside, carried a narrow lead into the final furlong and yielded grudgingly late. QUE BELLA LUNA away quickest from the gate, fought for the lead briefly then chased off the rail, went two, three, then two wide around the bend, loomed inside the top pair in the lane but could not summon the needed late kick. NOBLE RUNNER chased from inside, lost ground on the turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened. A. P'S LUCKY CHARM chased under urging at the back well off the rail, went four wide into the turn, steered into the two path around the bend and was always outrun. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
