Chart notes
MODO took command soon after the start toward but not on the inside, continued to set the pace in the two path turn, shook off the runner up into the stretch to gain daylight approaching the furlong marker then slowly increased that advantage under steady handling. SPRING DANCER pressed the winner from the outside up the backstretch, moved a bit closer to that one by late in the bend, could do little more in the drive, remained well clear of the others. BURIANA in the second flight while in the two path, proved no match for the top two, determined for the show spot. AVERY'S MISCHIEF hesitated at the start to spot the field a couple of lengths, moved up toward the inside, swung out five wide when lodging an advance turning for home, failed to sustain that gain and was outkicked late for the show. ACHIEVE went one paced throughout while three wide. COCKTAIL HUMOR off a step slow, moved up to race behind the leaders outside, four wide through the turn, came up empty for the drive when called on for run. BARBIE'S DREAM remained back while angling toward the inside. PAYTON'S BEAUTY off a step slow, trailed.
