Chart notes
MAJOR TOM tracked the decent early pace from inside of runners, well placed approaching the turn, loomed two wide nearing the top of the stretch, vied for the lead into the lane and took command at the furlong marker, was kept to task into the final sixteenth and drove clear late. HARCYN was squeezed leaving the break and spotted the field to begin, allowed to settle in the early going, advanced outside of rivals into the turn, went five wide at the quarter pole and rallied into upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner into deep stretch and got up in time to secure the place honors. LUCKY LAD settled off of the decent early pace while never far back, saved ground into the turn and gained at the quarter marker, saved all of the ground to the top of the stretch, made a steady advance through the lane, was gaining in the final sixteenth and just missed at the wire for second. ALMOST SNOW showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set a decent pace while pressured to the half-mile marker, shook free into the turn and dictated terms to the quarter pole, drifted to the three path into upper stretch, was overtaken by MAJOR TOM nearing the furlong grounds, chased the winner into the final sixteenth and weakened in deep stretch. IN VRONSKY STYLE broke alertly and was hustled away from the start, pressed the decent early pace outside of ALMOST SNOW, attended to the pace into the turn, was floated to the four path into upper stretch by the drifting pacesetter, lost position at the furlong marker and gave way in the late stages. IDIOT'S GOLD well placed in the early stages, tracked the decent pace while widest heading to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit four wide into the turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and tired in the final furlong. BERTACCHI was close up to the decent early pace, stalked outside of runners nearing the half-mile marker, chased three wide into the turn and lost position approaching the quarter marker, lacked a response into upper stretch and faltered in the lane. SIR LUCAS tracked the decent early pace from between runners, chased into the turn, lost position at the quarter marker and came up empty in the stretch drive. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
