Chart notes
HANK OLLIE stalked from outside, advanced four wide on the turn, struck the lead past the quarter pole, was clear by mid-stretch, won going away under steady handling. ECHO WITH LAUGHTER was well-placed just off the flank of the leader, bid between runners three wide coming to the three-eighths, had a narrow and brief lead at the five-sixteenths, was no match for the winner but clearly second best. LEGAL ATTACK (GB) tracked from inside racing in behind the leading pair two wide coming past the quarter pole, moved out three to four wide turning into upper stretch, was best of the rest while drifting out late and no threat to the top pair. FRANK'S ART brushed with a rival lightly early, stalked outside near mid-pack, was mostly three to four wide, ran on evenly. MANNIX (IRE) switched out heading up the backstretch racing four wide into the turn, came into upper stretch six deep, improved some but needed more. MISTER BANJOMAN quickly moved to the lead, set the early pace, was overtaken on the turn, weakened. FAST AND READY chased in behind two to three wide, was ridden along by the five-sixteenths, failed to rally. CEFALO steadied early when brushed and put in tight quarters, was then forced out heading up the backstretch, went mostly five wide thereafter, was not a threat.
