Chart notes
RAYDEN AND REMI chased from outside going four to five wide on the turn and encouraged along by the five-sixteenths, floated seven wide turning for home, took a narrow lead in upper stretch, drifted a bit but forged clear late. MARDI GRAS MAMBO was bumped at the start then urged to the lead, set the pace two to three deep, came out wider for the stretch run, was overtaken in upper stretch and outkicked but secured the place while drifting a bit. WATER TESTER got away well and under early urging briefly had the early lead but was soon overtaken, chased from inside, was off the rail into upper stretch and not urged upon in the late stages as a rival came in a bit. SCOOTIN' BOOTS was mid-pack off the rail into the turn, moved nearer the fence early on that bend, gained on the leaders saving ground into upper stretch, lost the crop soon after and lacked the needed late kick. REXINATOR bumped a rival at the start bobbling slightly in the process, was outpaced early, saved ground on the turn, came out in upper stretch and improved position. PRINCE LIAM was outside off the leaders and never near enough to threaten. BATTLE FACE broke just a step slowly, lacked early speed, was carried out by a rival into the turn and never near enough to threaten. LAST RESOLVE moved forward chasing three to four wide, floated wider leaving the turn and came up empty thereafter. RANDY DAYTONA chased outside mid-pack was five then four wide into and on the turn, faded. LUCKY BOURBON was a bit fractious in the gate, broke out just a hair, was in behind runners and a bit tight leaving the backstretch altering course to avoid foes and bearing out in the process, did not threaten thereafter.
