Chart notes
KING ADOLIS tracked the moderate early pace from outside of runners, well placed into the turn, roused four wide at the quarter marker, ran evenly to mid-stretch while in pursuit of SIPPIN SCOTCH, closed determinedly into the final furlong, wore down the runner-up in deep stretch and drew clear late. SIPPIN SCOTCH contested the early lead from between runners, assumed command and set the pace to the half-mile marker, carved out moderate fractions while between runners along the turn, shook free into upper stretch, met the bid of KING ADOLIS and battled into the final sixteenth, was outfinished in deep stretch and was a clear second. BAYOU BOY chased the moderate early pace from between runners, lost ground along the turn, angled out into upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, could not impact the top pair into the final sixteenth and bested the rest to earn the show honors. DRAMA KING close up in the early going, took back and settled off of the moderate pace, chased two wide into the turn, passed tiring rivals in the stretch drive and just missed for third. GOLDEN PURSUIT vied for the early lead from the inside, prompted the moderate pace into the turn, set down into upper stretch, was outkicked at the furlong marker and weakened in the late stages. XANDER S prominent early, contested the pace outside of SIPPIN SCOTCH heading to the half-mile marker, pressed the pace three wide into the turn, battled into upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and faded in the drive. BENNETT'S LEADER settled off of the moderate early pace, saved ground into the turn and did not threaten in the stretch drive. DOC HENRY RIDGE lacked early speed, improved position three wide into the turn, could not sustain his run into the stretch and did not factor late.
